 A history that spans over 29 years. We think that’s pretty impressive for an IT company.
When we started out back in 1981 we were part of the leading edge Business Automation Industry. Then during the early to mid 1980s with the advent of the Personal Computer (PC) the business was rebranded as part of the Computer Industry. And more recently, the 1990s brought with it the coining of thousands of industry acronyms and the Information Technology (IT) Industry was born.
To keep pace with the industry and its challenges for so long, we have always needed to be agile. Agility has become a catchcry around our organisation. The faster the technologies are developed, the more agile you need to be. It seems as though we have only recently started with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 yet we are now planning for the release of SQL Server 2008. We embrace this change as we have learned to be agile. SQL Server 2008 presents so many opportunities to Hume and our customers that we have welcomed the new challenge.
And new competitive advantages for our customers is critical. It is our constant aim to keep our customers agile. We want them to access the latest in trends and technologies so that they too can stay ahead of the competition. Agility helps you survive your competitors.
 The Hume Group of Companies have remained privately owned Australian entities since their incorporation back in 1981. Leveraging key partnerships with leading vendors such as Microsoft, we keep abreast of the latest technologies and keep our staff up to date through the various certification programs.
We look forward to providing continuing guidance to our customers in the more traditional applications such as ERP and CRM but also in the emerging technologies such as Software as a Service (SaaS) and Unified Communications.
